We support training because we care about the translation community

When we set out to organize TranslateCluj, we had the global community of translators & linguists in mind. Our profession is shifting, and the many challenges that lie ahead can be overcome only if we tackle them effectively together! And what better way is there to achieve this goal than a CPD event? For the 2020 edition we're preparing workshops, presentations and panel discusssions on exciting topics such as RegEx, Trados Studio 2019 training (for beginners and advanced users), interpreting techniques, technology and the future of our profession, corpora management, memoQ utilities, peer review, online researching techniques, intercultural and intercomprehension techniques, community building, bridging freelancers with project managers. Marek Pawelec will also organize a separate, optional memoQ masterclass for intermediate and advanced users on Saturday, March 7th.

Insightful, hands-on training from highly professional & passionate speakers of the translation and interpretation community.

Join the TranslateCluj community and meet the most fun and creative colleagues. You'll have a blast, we promise!

You should never stop studying. CPD is what helps you grow and improve as a professional!

Transylvanian Cooking workshop

We are happy to announce that Mircea Groza, Transylvanian chef, food historian and food etymologist and, most probably, the best traditional food storyteller in Romania right now, accepted our invitation to teach the Transylvanian cooking workshop.

The Romanian foodies might know him for his fabulous old Transylvanian recipes written in our sweet regional speak, as well as for the Roman feasts he occasionally re-creates. You can also find his recipes in some of the best Transylvanian restaurants he is the consultant chef for, such as Zama in Cluj-Napoca.

You can find more about his food on his Facebook page.

Mircea will be assisted by our foodie team member Elvira, the owner of the cooking blog https://bucatarlenes.com/

The workshop will take place at Miele Boutique KUIBA and it will cost 170 lei / 37 Euro.
